Diabetic Smoothies

  • 1 cup brewed and chilled green tea
  • 1/2 cup silken tofu
  • 1 small pear, skin on, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 frozen bananas, sliced into rounds
  • 2 tsp ground flaxseed
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup ice


  • Add all the ingredients except vegetables/fruits first
  • Blend until smooth
  • Add the vegetable/fruits
  • Blend until smooth
  • Add a few ice cubes and serve the smoothie
  • Enjoy!


Feel free to swap any of the topping in the ingredient list with whatever you have lying around. It will probably taste just as amazing!
